Machine
CNC machine the body, internal distribution passage, NPT ports, mounting features, and identification geometry from controlled stock.
North Rivet NRM-45 Series · In Development
A 5-axis-machined 6061 aluminum air-distribution manifold concept with a 45° service face that directs tubing upward and away from rack, panel, and workstation mounting surfaces.
Target Configuration
Final body dimensions will be released after the available stock envelope, tool access, minimum wall sections, and validation samples are finalized.
| Product | NRM-45-04 · 4-outlet angled pneumatic manifold |
|---|---|
| Material | 6061-T6/T6511 aluminum target |
| Main ports | 2 × 1/2-14 NPT female, opposite ends |
| Branch ports | 4 × 1/4-18 NPT female on a 45° outlet face |
| Instrumentation | 1 × 1/8-27 NPT female gauge / sensor / test port |
| Flow layout | Common internal distribution passage with branch fittings oriented 45° upward from the mounting base |
| Outlet pitch | 1.000 in target center spacing; final value pending prototype layout |
| Finish | Natural machined aluminum initially; anodized version planned |
| Mounting | Integrated mounting provisions; final pattern pending stock envelope |
| Pressure rating | Not yet published — engineering validation in progress |
| Origin | Machined in Indiana, USA |
The NRM-45 concept uses the five-axis process to put the service outlets on a true 45° machined face. That geometry is intended to reduce tight hose bends and fitting interference when the manifold is mounted to the back of a workstation, machine frame, rack, or panel. The same platform can later support 2-, 3-, 6-, and 8-outlet bodies and alternate port combinations.
Production Plan
The product will be released around a defined manufacturing traveler rather than relying on visual acceptance alone.
CNC machine the body, internal distribution passage, NPT ports, mounting features, and identification geometry from controlled stock.
Verify critical dimensions and NPT thread condition with appropriate production inspection and gaging.
Deburr intersecting passages and remove chips or process contamination before pressure testing and packaging.
Establish documented leak and pressure-validation criteria before a working-pressure rating is published.
Applications
Distribute a common air supply to cylinders, valves, blow-off devices, instrumentation, and other pneumatic functions.
Create clean branch points on shop equipment, test stations, service fixtures, and maintenance installations.
Provide a documented, repeatable manifold platform for machine builders who need compact NPT distribution.
Commercial Release
Initial prototypes will establish final dimensions, machining sequence, thread gaging, leak-test method, pressure-validation limits, markings, and packaging. Retail purchasing information will be added after the first production batch is approved.
